Project Overview
Reinterpreted master artist Paul Chiang's iconic "Notre-Dame de Paris" series through AIGC (AI-Generated Content) technology. The exhibition "Dust of Subtlety" (微塵) transformed the original paintings into a fully immersive spatial experience at 双融域 AMBI SPACE ONE.
Technical Approach
The installation featured 5-surface projection across 393 square meters, creating an enveloping visual environment. The production pipeline leveraged Stable Diffusion, Deforum, and ControlNet for style transfer, translating Chiang's painterly textures into dynamic, flowing imagery while preserving the spiritual essence of the originals.
AIGC Pipeline
- Stable Diffusion for base image generation and style adaptation
- Deforum for temporal coherence and animation sequencing
- ControlNet for precise structural guidance from source paintings
Narrative Journey
The immersive experience guides viewers through a three-act journey: from the intimate streets of Paris, through a process of spiritual purification, arriving at a state of cosmic unity. Each transition unfolds across the five projection surfaces, dissolving the boundary between observer and artwork.
From Parisian streets to cosmic unity — the exhibition transforms Paul Chiang's contemplative paintings into a living, breathing environment that surrounds the viewer completely.
